Year In Review: Football

Written by: Ava Staub Picture By: Mairead Willimack

This year, the Saber football team worked hard and persevered throughout the season. Despite multiple players having to sit out due to injuries (Torn ligaments, fractures, and sprains), they continued to support and cheer on their team from the sidelines. With an overall record of 6-4, the team made it to a state qualifier game, where they battled Mount Vernon. Through the wins and the losses, the team kept their heads up and bonded with each other, even outside of games and practices. Juniors Caleb Appleby and Mikey Cabrera showed this by shaving their heads in the locker room. Their connections and strong relationships with each other as a team was no doubt a factor that went into their memorable season.
